South African hip-hop artist Lucasraps releases a fresh, improved cypher as atonement for the BET cypher fiasco.
The BET cypher highlighted some of the top artists in the hip-hop genre, much to the delight of the South African scene. Sadly, our excitement was short-lived when the cypher’s beat turned out to be a disaster.
Of course, this sparked a social media uproar from supporters. The rap cypher includes performances by SA Hip Hop artists 25K, Lucasraps, Stino Lee Thwenny, Buzzi Lee, and Flash Ikumkani. Lucasraps has back with a lot better cypher, proving that he did not abandon his followers.
He released a new video and promised fans that what they heard on the BET Cypher “wasn’t the level” in the captions. Fans can confirm that he performed significantly better on the new cypher, which had a stronger beat and was delivered. The video is below.
