Messi’s father speaks on player’s return to Barcelona. Lionel Messi’s father, Jorge, has declared that his son won’t be going back to Barcelona this summer. Messi is a forward for Paris Saint-Germain.

Due to the fact that his current contract is slated to end in June, the 35-year-future old’s is uncertain.

For the Ligue 1 winners this season, Messi has been in excellent form, scoring 28 goals and dishing out 24 assists in 24 appearances across all competitions.

L’Equipe writes that despite his strong performance, the World Cup champion is “less and less tempted” to stay in France.

This has led to rumors that Messi would leave for the MLS or go back to Barcelona.

Leo won’t likely play for Barcelona again, according to Jorge, who also serves as his agent, who said as much to SPORT.

“The conditions are not met. We have not spoken with [Barcelona president Joan] Laporta and there is no offer on the table.”
