Mixed Reactions As South Africa Is Omitted From The 2023 F1 Calendar

South Africa Is Omitted From The 2023 F1 Calendar

Recently, the announcement that Formula will be heading to South Africa for the 2923 season had South African Twitter in a frenzy. One of the locations chosen to hold the races in 2023 is the Kyalami.

It turns out that was just wishful thinking and not a part of the future plans.

While some South Africans were disappointed that the F1 race would not be held in the Rainbow Nation, others chuckled and argued that South Africa wasn’t yet prepared for the event. One Twitter user made fun of the fact that Mzansi wants to host the races while not having adequate electricity to prepare dinner.

The races would have been held in Kyalami for the first time since 1993 if South Africa had been one of the locations. What had previously surfaced online concerning South Africa hosting the race turned out to be mere rumors.

South Africa was not included in the list that F1 provided for the 2023 season. According to the list, the race would start in Bahrain and then travel on to Saudi Arabia. Australia, China, Brazil X Mexico, Brazil, Japan, Hungary, Belgium, Netherlands, Canada, Italy, and Spain are additional nations that produced theist. At the Yas Marina in Abu Dhabi, the season would come to a close in November.
