The Mayyas have been declared the winners of America’s Got Talent season 17.
The captivating Lebanon dancers, who swiftly won over viewers on the NBC competition program, received the most votes during the eagerly awaited AGT 2022 finale. More than a dozen other synchronized artists, including Kristy Sellars, Drake Milligan, Metaphysic, and Chapel Hart, were defeated by the group of over two dozen synchronized performers.
The group’s dynamic stage presence captured the attention of judges Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Sofa Vergara, and Howie Mandel from their very first audition. The Mayyas performed dazzling visual illusions while choreographer Nadim supported them from the sidelines. They also raised awareness for dance. The former Modern Family actress was particularly taken by the group, and she demonstrated this by pushing her golden buzzer in their favor.
