Lira thanks the South African Music Awards for nominating her (SAMA 28). Nominations for over 30 categories were unveiled on Tuesday, and the singer received a nod in the Remix of the Year category.
She was nominated for the Feel Good remix she did with DJ Maphorisa, and she’s thrilled, despite the fact that she’s recovering from a stroke.
“Right now, there’s a lot of exciting news. I’ve been nominated for a SAMA for my remix by @djmaphorisa! She stated on Instagram, “I’m doing great, slowly, slowly recuperating!”
Lira gave her fans an update on her health a few weeks ago, saying she’s doing well but that the stroke has impaired her speech, so she’s concentrating on a full recovery.
