Actor-comic Richard Belzer apparently passed away. Testicular cancer was previously overcome by Belzer. In 11 successful TV series, including “Homicide: Life On The Street,” “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit,” “X-Files,” and “The Wire,” the actor gained fame for his portrayal of investigator John Munch.
Early on February 19, 2023, he passed away at his residence in Bozouls, South-West France. His last words were “f**k you, motherf**ker,” according to writer Bill Scheft in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter.
His death was first announced by former ‘Saturday Night Life’ comic Laraine Newman, who tweeted, “I’m so sad to hear about Richard Belzer’s passing. I loved this guy so much.”
She revealed he was one of her friends when she got to New York to do ‘SNL.’ She called him “one of the funniest people ever” and a master at crowd work.
