When J Molley became 25 years old, he revealed his failed suicide attempt. The rapper from the group Almost Dead said in a lengthy social media post;
“It’s my birthday today. A year ago, I attempted suicide and choked on my own blood that was flowing out of my nose and mouth before passing away on the operating table. I somehow came back to life and struggled for four days in the intensive care unit. My close friends assisted my fiancée in rescuing me and getting me out of the restroom and into the ambulance. I then felt as though I had already touched rock bottom.
I spent a week in a psychiatric prison cell on 24/7 lockdown with no one else but me after being forced into it. The worst experience I’ve ever had, but it gave me more strength than I’ve ever had.
Since then, I have not attempted suicide, and today marks my one-year anniversary on this planet. You can understand it if I can. There’s no question that I’m here for a reason. I’m eager to watch how fate unfolds.
