Funke Akindele’s ex-husband, JJC Skillz returns to Islam. Award-winning Nigerian musician, rapper, filmmaker, and ex-husband of Nollywood star Funke Akindele Abdulrasheed Bello claimed to have returned to his original religion of Islam.

On Friday, January 13, 2023, the artist announced this in a string of postings on his verified Instagram account.

Bello said he was initially raised in Islam but never practiced it since he adopted his mother’s religion. He said that he had previously been missing but was now located.

“O Allah, I was lost, but now that I’m found, I beg Your forgiveness and well-being in this life and the next. I pray to Allah for success in my worldly and religious activities, as well as the welfare of my family and my money.

“O Allah, conceal my frailties, calm my fright, and protect me from the front, the back, the right, the left, and from above. I seek shelter in You should the ground swallow me whole.

The famous rapper and recording mogul told Muslims News that God had intended for him to convert to Islam.

“My name is AbdurRasheed, and I was born a Muslim. My mother is a Christian, while my father, Bello, is a Muslim. I used to attend Islamiyah back then, but all I could think about was getting pummeled. I never practiced because they would terrify us with images of hellfire.

“God intends for me to convert back to Islam. For Allah’s mercy in keeping me alive. I am overjoyed to have rediscovered Islam since it has brought me calm. It has helped me find concentration and direction. I was really lost, but I’m here now,” he remarked.
