South African rapper Cassper Nyovest has just honored his one-time friend Riky Rick with a chest tattoo. He showed off his latest ink in posts on his social media pages.
Until his death, Riky Rick was famous for the phrase “We never die; we multiply.” Well, Cassper decided to affirm just that after his pa’s death. In a tweet, the “Doc Shebeleza” chanter flaunted a tattoo of that exact phrase in the middle of his chest.
The tattoo drew a lot of attention, But it turned out not everyone was impressed given his history with Riky Rick, who committed suicide earlier this year. The “Boss Zonke” hitmaker had hung himself in his studio, not far from his house, sending South Africa’s music and entertainment universe into the isle of mourning.
Cassper Nyovest and Riky Rick were pretty close at the outset. In fact, they called themselves brothers. But they had a falling apart along the line, which deeply affected Riky Rick, especially as Cassper made it clear there was no going back to the old times of joviality and brotherhood.
But then Cassper himself was gutted when Riky Rick tragically bid farewell to the world, dangling from a noose in his studio.
