Burna Boy Pays Tribute To AKA

Burna Boy Pays Tribute To AKA

Burna Boy Pays Tribute To AKA. Kiernan “AKA” Forbes’ murder on the streets of Durban occurred exactly one week ago, yet tributes are still being paid to him.

The Nigerian artist Damini Ogulu, also known as Burna Boy and longtime household name, is the most recent to pay honor to his memory.

The Nigerian expressed his shock upon learning of the South African’s passing in a post on his Instagram story, stating that it made him feel down.

He expressed an emotion that many have been expressing since AKA’s successful music career came to an end when he was shot at close range by unknown shooters.

Burna Boy paying a tribute to AKA wouldn’t surprise anyone who knows their history together. The two had collaborated on a song previously but had a semblance of a falling apart over the xenophobic attacks on Nigerians in South Africa.

AKA still made it clear on social media that he has no issues with Burna Boy. He even congratulated the “African Giant” on winning a Grammy award.

By the way, AKA’s memorial will hold later today, Friday, February 17. Tickets for the event have already sold out. His funeral will take place tomorrow, February 18. It will be a private ceremony.
