Ayeye Returns With A New Season And A New Format

Fans of Ayeye will be happy to hear that their beloved program will soon return to tiny screens, albeit with a new structure and cast.

Finally: Ayeye Is About To Make A Victorious Comeback

The show’s first season, which was widely praised and adored, had an all-star cast that included Thapelo Mokoena, SK Khoza, Zola, Vusi Kunene, and Jessica Nkosi.

It has been requested by devoted viewers ever since the first season of the show ended, and now it is available.

On August 5, Ayeye: Stripped, a new season of the show with some intriguing new twists, will premiere on Mzansi Magic. Originally airing on 1Magic, the program focused on the complicated romantic relationships, tense friendships, and burgeoning careers of three male best friends.

Despite significant changes, the second season is expected to keep audiences on the edge of their seats. The program Ayeye Stripped will now chronicle the tale of a wealthy stay-at-home mother who turns to making pornographic content in order to preserve her lifestyle after her baby daddy passes away and his family takes everything, according to the channel.

Rosemary Zimu, a multi-talented actress and singer, is a newcomer to this season and plays Zoleka, a 30-year-old woman who is on the point of going hungry. This forces her to find alternate means of maintaining her extravagant lifestyle and keeping her son off the streets. Will her new job make life simpler or will it merely make things harder?

The 13-part drama series is the most recent MultiChoice series to be transformed into an anthology show, where each new season of a show has different characters and new tales inside a similar universe. It is produced by the award-winning Seriti Films (Gomora, The Herd, The Imposter 2).

Because we’re a flexible and forward-thinking network, we’re embracing the anthology format for some of our series. According to Shirley Adonisi, Director of Local Entertainment Channels at M-Net, the first season of Ayeye provided audiences something to speak about.

“It’s crucial that we stay current with events in the outside world and represent them on screen. Being among the first to view this event on their screens is equally exciting for our DStv Compact subscribers, she adds.

Ayeye: Stripped takes us into the realm of the 1 percent (and those claiming to be), with the first season’s initial setting being the hip and creative Maboneng Precinct of Johannesburg.

A number of rising stars, including as radio personality Zama Ngcobo, Big Brother Mzansi season 3 contestant Luthando “BU” Mthembu, soap opera actor Kealeboga Masango, Abomama’s Pabee Moganedi, and Isibaya’s Charles Phasha, all appear in Ayeye: Stripped.

Will Zoleka survive being forced to take charge of her life and adapt or perish? After all, there’s only one path forward once you’ve reached your lowest point, right? Listen to Ayeye: Starting on Friday, August 5, at 20h00 on Mzansi Magic (DStv Channel 161), striptease. It will definitely be a banger!
